Getting the Government the Third World Deserves

When Thomas Jefferson said that “people get the government they deserve,” it was more than just a clever turn of phrase. It also was not an isolated insight but a timeless truth, one expressed by many. William Cowper said, “When was public virtue to be found when private was not?”
Benjamin Franklin stated, “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”

Democracy, Arab-Style - Media Buries Palestinian Atrocities

ISRAEL'S disengagement from Gaza, completed 22 months ago, has succeeded.
It was a demonstration project of a sort - an experiment in Palestinian self-rule. If the management of Gaza had gone well, there would have been a Palestinian state within three years, tops.

Immigration is good for you!!!

AS you follow the debate over the Bush-McKennedy immigration bill, keep this cardinal rule in mind: 99.99 percent of the lawmakers who promise you that they'll ensure the deportation of anyone who doesn't follow their new "guest-worker" regulations are either A) lying or B) completely clueless.
Rule No. 2: Anyone who plays the Enforcement equals Kicking-Down-Doors-And-Depriving-Babies-of-Mother's-Milk card (yes, that's you, Geraldo Rivera) is either A) lying or B) completely clueless.

Habeas Corpus Only For Terrorists - Not For Marines!

CAMP PENDLETON ---- The officer in charge of a military hearing expressed serious doubts Friday about the government's prosecution of Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt, one of three Marines charged in the November 2005 shooting deaths of Iraqi civilians in the city of Haditha.

Lt. Col. Paul Ware, who will recommend whether to send Sharratt to trial, challenged the prosecution, saying the government's theory of the case do not warrant the three counts of unpremeditated murder filed against Sharratt in December.
"The account you want me to believe does not support unpremeditated murder," Ware told the lead prosecutor, Maj. Daren Erickson. "Your theories don't match the reason you say we should go to trial."

Where is Orthodox leadership on this one? Where is Kiddush Hashem? Where is Hakoras hatov? And in the worst case, don’t you realize you could be next?

Democrats Are Neeeeeeever Communists Allies & Friends

KATMANDU, Nepal --Former President Jimmy Carter urged the United States on Saturday to talk with Nepal's former rebels, who remain on Washington's list of terrorists despite joining a peace process. Carter met Maoist rebel leader Prachanda, who only goes by one name, and his deputy Baburam Bhattarai on Friday. The former guerrillas urged him to help remove them from the U.S. terrorist list.

Hillary's Hassid Problem

Ever wonder why the radical Jew-hating left somehow omits criticism of hassidim for their unfettered corruption? Well, of course, that corruption is facilitated, enabled, abetted, helped and perpetrated with the help of Democrats, especially Hillary “Godesse” Clinton, the “Jewish” left’s darling diva:
"I love [Hillary Clinton] so completely that, honestly, she would have to burn down the White House before I would say anything bad about her!" exclaimed Nora Ephron in a 1993 Newsday interview. Three years later, she told the Wellesley class of 1996, "Understand: Every attack on Hillary Clinton for not knowing her place is an attack on you." Come late 2006, however, Ephron was the one on the attack as one of the self-described "Hillary resisters" — those who believe that "she will do anything to win, who believe she doesn't really take a position unless it's completely safe," as she wrote on her Huffington Post blog, "who believe she has taken the concept of triangulation and pushed it to a geometric level never achieved by anyone including her own husband, who can't stand her position on the war, who don't trust her as far as you can spit."
Kol HaKavod to Mishpachas Low Klass for endorsing this monster.
